Getting Closer to a Universal Translator

I wrote the following to my friend yesterday

And today my brother tweeted this video:
Ok, not quite a universal translator yet, but we are moving in the right direction.

There’s a pretty good article about this on msnbc that made me laugh. The translations are actually really bad from what most reviewers are saying. But yes, we are getting closer 🙂

At the end of this webcast Microsoft demonstrates speaking in English and having that translated and then output in spoken Chinese…
