3D printing is an amazing technology that opens up great opportunities for us to enjoy life. The future is great. It is exciting to see how quickly advances are being made in this area. I think the ability to print replacement parts is a huge benefit. And the creative uses people will put these printers too will be a joy to see.

We all have witnessed the difference between a 3D video and a normal video on the big screen and I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t like the change. Hopefully 3D printing will continue to amazeus n the same way, thanks for the post.

Surely a technology poised to transform the world economically and technologically. Already companies like Nokia are releasing specifications that enable their customers to create 3D printed cell phone cases. It will only take one such application to grab the popular imagination for this technology to explode.

Recently I seen the first dress has been printed using this 3d technology. It is only a matter of time before we can download cars.

3D printers are still pretty expensive…it will be interesting to see how the market is acting in a few more years. When it gets cheaper i will give it a shot.

There’s going to be a lot of discussions, positives and negatives on 3D printing in the upcoming years. It will change the world, as the title implies, but by how much really.

I think it will be up to the individual user, who has it at home and uses it as a hobby. I am already seeing big companies trying to profit from 3D printing and bills trying to come out from the government. It will follow the same cycle as any new product or service where the big dogs will diminish it for the casual crowd.

The question of “how it will change the world” depends on the perspective you view the 3D printing technology from.

3D printing is the future. But we are still miles away from the day when plain print / paper can be replaced by 3D due to the cost factors involved in the process.

In almost all cases, if the implementation costs are larger than the profits incurred, the technology is bound to hit a standstill.

3d printing is the future I agree. But I disagree that it is way to far from us. The cost of the printers and the materials is going down day by day. In my opinion in a few years we will see huge changes in that sector. Many people do not know what it is today.
